D.A. Weibring Holds Second-Round Lead
D.A. Weibring continued his pace-setting form on Friday, shooting another 5-under 67 for a 36-hole total of 10-under-par 134.

“If I can keep doing what I’ve been doing, good things will happen,” said Weibring, who gets treatment on his sore left shoulder each day before play to decrease the inflammation. “I’ve had runs on this Tour, but ever since winning my major out here in 2008, I’ve been hurt.”

At present, however, it is D.A.’s son, Matt, who is sidelined from the PGA Tour by recent hip surgery, his fifth surgery at age 30.

“I told him that I feel bad for him,” said Weibring. “You should be out here and I should be on the couch. But if I’m going to be out here, I might as well play well.”
